THE ROTARY FOUNDATION DANCE & DINNER
Rotary International District 9110, Nigeria is organizing The Rotary Foundation Dance and Dinner, an event which is aimed at raising funds for The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, towards its various projects, particularly the eradication of Polio in the world. It is a known fact that Polio is a viral infection that paralyses children infected with it and millions of children all over the world have suffered from this fate. Nigeria in particular is one of the four countries in the world where Polio is still endemic, with over 90% of the cases.
The occasion will provide an opportunity for well-meaning members of the community to contribute towards this cause while several donors that have already contributed will be honored.
The evening program is packaged to raise over $200,000 for The Rotary Foundation.
High Chief Raymond Alegho Dokpesi, Chairman, DAAR Communications PLC will be the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, while Past District Governor V. J. Patel of Seychelles, (who had donated $1,000,000 to this cause already this year) will serve as the Guest Speaker.
The date of the event is March 6, 2009 and the venue is Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos. The time is 6.30pm prompt.
